Calendula and Chamomile salves

Just some basic information on my calendula and chamomile salves. As a reminder, I am not a licensed professional. I am a self taught maker and taking my hobby to the next level. I make no claims that my products will cure or prevent any diseases. Please consult with a doctor if you are pregnant or nursing. Dried calendula flowers infusing in oil Hand and body balm: Ingredients: calendula-grown in my garden-chamomile and lavender infused into jojoba oil, candelilila wax, and vitamin e oil. Calendula is known for anti inflammatory, healing, anti microbial and soothing properties. Chamomile has similar properties as well, in addition to antioxidants. Lavender has similar properties as calendula and chamomile in addition to being antiseptic. Candelilla wax is a vegan alternative to beeswax. It is made from the leaves of the candelilla shrub. It has a slight nutty/woody scent. Has a nice feel on the skin. Jojoba oil mimics skin sebum and is lightweight, absorbs quickly and not greasy. Does...

 Launching this blog as an add on for my skin care products. The fda has rules about what information or claims that can be placed on labels of handcrafted items or on websites of skin care products. They are considered drugs or cosmetics. The stuff you buy at the store or  at or on skin care companies have paid to have their products tested and can make those claims. According to the fda website, a drug is   "articles intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease" and "articles (other than food) intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of man or other animals"  [FD&C Act, sec. 201(g)(1)] A cosmetic is considered as  "articles intended to be rubbed, poured, sprinkled, or sprayed on, introduced into, or otherwise applied to the human body...for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance" [FD&C Act, sec. 201(i)].  FDA website I completely understand that ...
